The first FLOW warm-up games

Ultimate players, Freestylers golfers, and disc tosseres in Israel:

Warm-up games for The First FLOW are approaching us fast, and learning for previous events we decided to organize a bit, so here’s the evening outline:
Show-up time around 20:30 (lights go out just after 23:00) at the Sport-Kef. For directions.

just a small reminder: at The First FLOW discs are to left at home so this is your chance to play (and we have some special items as well)

On the huge Reshol LeZion field we’ll set up two Ultimate fields and a big space for Freestyle and tossing. Golfers could try the medium patch of woods there.

The opening Ultimate game will be a game between Dori’s freestyle team and the Sportek Tel Aviv gang. This should be funny so bring your cameras. (if you don't know what's Ultimate click here)

All players are invited to an Ultimate drill session run by Brett from the Jerusalem team.

As for the rest of the games: We are going to set up two fields for two separate Ultimate games: One for advanced players and one for beginner/intermediate players. Games will be set up according to a hat tournament draw. In any case not everyone will be able to play all the time.

During those games Dori has offered to teach some freestyle skills to anyone who wishes to learn. No sign up needed but bug him if you do want to learn.

So show up, huck it up, stack it up, spin it out, and come have fun!

Hat tournament details:

We are going to set up two fields for two separate Ultimate games: One for advanced players and one for beginner/intermediate players.

The advanced field will be for those with experience playing full-rules Ultimate, who are more interested in a competitive atmosphere and top-level play (You’ll be able to spot the field from the smoke coming out of Ofer’s ears).

The beginners/intermediate field will be for those who are familiar with the game but may have less experience or who are less interested in the competitive aspect and more interested in just getting out and playing.

Both separate games will be set up in the form of a Hat tournament, this means that there will be a draw and names will be pulled out of a hat, 6 names per team at the beginning of each game. Games will be played to 11 points, the wining team stays (until tree consecutive wins).

When arriving find Tomer and sign up for either of the two lists if you wish to participate.

Dori's FreeTimates

the team is still in formation but the promised to put up a serious fight, they don't have cleats and they'll sky instead of run but they will glue their nails, they might come in handy.

So lets welcome the team:

E-mail Dori if you wish to be on the team.

if we lose we promise to retaliate and to invite the winning team for some Freestyle coordination drills, "Then we'll see..."
